Staff Spotlight - Adrian Enriquez
Meet Animal Control Officer Adrian Enriquez!
Adrian has been in the animal services industry for almost 20 years. He began as a part-time kennel attendant for the City of Santa Ana in 2002 and transferred to the Orange County animal shelter a year later when a full-time position became available. In 2005, Adrian was promoted to an officer with the County but shortly after his training, he was hired by the Santa Ana Police Department as an animal control officer. He stayed there for 11 years, and was promoted to supervisor before he left the department in 2016 to work for Mission Viejo Animal Services where he serves our communities with pride. When not at work, Adrian enjoys spending time with his wife and their four kids. He is a coach for his boys' baseball teams, so he spends a lot of time on the baseball diamond either guiding the kids or watching them play. He also cheers on his daughter during her cross-country races. They also take a lot of mini vacations as a family. His co-workers also know that Adrian is an excellent cook because he feeds them all during our barbeques.
Since he works in the communities we serve, you may see Officer Enriquez in the field doing different tasks such as picking up injured animals, removing rattlesnakes from yards or bringing loose dogs back home, so be sure to say hello!
