Taffy (Formerly Tiger)

Hi Animal Shelter Team:

This Saturday will be 5 weeks ago that I brought "Taffy" home. That was a wonderful day for me and I am hoping it was for her also. She spent the first 20 minutes investigating every nook and cranny till she decided everything was okay. She seemed very calm and was very friendly and gentle with my daughter and sister who was waiting to visit us when we got home. She kept making the rounds to be petted. She does love being petted and purrs like a boiler factory. I tried a few different feminine names on her to see if any of them would "click" and she answered right away to "Taffy" which stems from her coloring like salt-water taffy. She responds right away to it. She has become a night owl like me and leads me to the bedroom and jumps on the bed before me. She is quite a cuddler and fills a large void. I am discovering more lovable things about Taffy every day -- she loves going round and round in circles chasing her tail at the speed of lightning and then reversing directions without stopping. She is amazing. Thank you for the work that you all do and the joy you bring not only to the animals in your care but to the fortunate people who adopt them.
