Mr. Bates (Formerly Thor)

Thank you so very much or welcoming me yesterday to adopt "Thor". He is such a sweet cat, and has quickly adapted to his new home. Actually, I am extremely surprised how fast he's adapted! The attached photos are from approximately 7 o'clock this morning. They were separated last night, both Fritzie and Thor, yet they were both very interested in smelling each other most of the night, so at 4:30 this morning I was awake easing Thor in to his new home. ::YAAAWN::
Both cats seemed to be very comfortable with only one hiss apiece, so I moved Thor into a portable cat carrier and let him discover his new brother. Again, with minimal complaints on either side, I let him out and was extremely careful to watch their interaction and be prepared for the worst. Aside from a few hisses and a couple quick swats here and there, that was the worst of it and they seem to get along already. Isn't that amazing? I thought it'd be weeks before I would reach just this point, not hours, but they seemed okay so I let them get to know each other.
My wife came up with a new name for Thor, that being "Mr Bates", as he is one of the main characters in our favorite TV series, "Downton Abbey". So, that's quite an update for less than a 24 hour period, isn't it? I will be watching them closely for some time to come, but it seems they are off to a great start. I'm grateful to your facility for taking such good care of him' er, Mr. Bates, as his disposition seems to be just wonderful.
Have a great day and thanks again! I am so happy to have adopted an adult cat from your most wonderful facility! I'll keep you updated with our beloved new family!
