Success Story - Banjo and Shadow

Hello! My husband and I adopted Banjo and Shadow (formerly Daisy) a few days ago, and we just wanted to give you an update. They are both doing very well. Banjo is very lively and has so much personality! He plays so happily, and loves giving kisses and cuddling.

As you know, Shadow was very shy when she first came home with us, and every day she is coming out of her shell a little more. She now comes up to me with her tail wagging, looking for some love. I am attaching a picture of her asking for a belly rub...I don't think she knew what bellyrubs were before, and I think she was surprised to discover that she likes them! The two of them love playing together, as you noticed, and Banjo is often found hanging off of Shadow's face (pic included). Shadow seems to love it! It's hard to try to keep them contained since Shadow still has sutures in; they want to run full speed and play all day!

We want to thank all of the volunteers at the shelter who so patiently showed us different dogs and shared their insights. We still have a way to go in socializing/training them, but Banjo and Shadow have brought so much joy to our lives and we are so grateful for them! Thank you for all the work you do for the dogs and their humans!
