Staff Spotlight - ASO Ceballos
The Mission Viejo Animal Services Center is proud of all its hard-working team members, so we want to spotlight them. We will feature one important member of our team in each newsletter so you can get to know the City employees who dedicate their lives to helping animals in your community.
Meet Animal Services Officer Alejandro Ceballos! Alex has worked for the City of Mission Viejo Animal Services Center since 2015. He began his career as an Animal Care Technician and quickly moved up to his current position as an officer. He started in the animal welfare field by working in local animal hospitals with dogs and cats, but he has grown to love everything about wildlife while working with Mission Viejo. "While I love all animals and respect their roles in the ecosystem, my favorite animal has always been the great horned owl," he said. Alex enjoys his job because he is always learning new things and no day is ever the same since he responds to different calls every day. However, his favorite part of this job is releasing wildlife back into the wild after we have rehabilitated it. When not on duty with the City, Alex volunteers with the OC Bird of Prey Center and enjoys hiking, visiting national parks, photography, and car shows.
If you see Officer Ceballos in the field, please give him a shout out for all of the great work he does for the City!
