Happy Halloween, from Lucy and the Arrogante family!
Greetings MVAS! I’m writing to you about my beautiful cat Tula. When I adopted her a little over a month ago, she was the longest cat resident and was “on sale†to encourage her adoption. I saw her picture online and fell in love. She was very shy at first, but she is starting to become more independent. Tula is such a sweetheart. She wakes me in the morning with a gentle paw on my face,
Hi Friends at Mission Viejo Animal Services,
Just wanted to check in and thank you again for pairing us up with our sweet Ellie!!!  She is so incredibly sweet and she is fitting right in here with our family.  Dug, our Golden, is one happy boy now that he has a sister again!!!  They play all the time, take walks together, nap together, basically, where you find one, the other isn’t far
Hi there,My boyfriend and I adopted Rizzo about 3 months ago and we wanted to share some photos of her!Â
Here are a couple of shots of our new little love "Randy" (formerly Rusty) from your shelter...we hit the jack pot with this little nugget!
Hello everyone at MV Shelter! Just a quick note and some updated pics. We adopted Shania
Sally, our new family member is Sally and we are Crazy about her!! We needed a companion for our male dog Jordy. It was Love at first sight. Sally and Jordy are inseparable. Thanks so much to the staff at MVAS Â for making this happen.
Larry is the perfect fit for our family! He is an amazing, well behaved gentle giant. He is so great with the kids and anyone he comes in contact with and enjoys long walks with the family. We can't believe our luck! Thank you Mission Viejo Animal Services for allowing us to adopt him. He is very well loved in our home.
We recently adopted Trestles, now King Lou, and he has been a fantastic addition to our family. Â Thank you everyone at the MV Shelter for all of your hard work!!!
We adopted  little Todd yesterday (now named Peanut Butter :) ) and we absolutely love him! He is doing  great and has adjusted so well already. He was nervous on the car ride home, but was so content the moment we put him in his new cage. He immediately started playing with the toys in there, crawling into the little cave, ate and drank, and even ate  strawberries out of our hand. Our dog
We are so excited to have Poppy home with us. She is such a sweetie. We are all learning about each other. Our son is in love with her too. She was a little scared at first but once we got home and let her check out the house and the backyard, she made herself right at home.
Things are going great with Ralphy! As soon as we brought him home, it was like he was a different dog. He warmed up to us both pretty quickly, especially with Griff. They became instant best friends. You were right to suggest that Ralph go to a home with another dog. Being around Griff has given him confidence and reassurance during his transition into the home, which has been very important.
Feline formerly known as Alf and now going by Chunk seems to be adjusting to his new home nicely.Â
Thank you!
It has been a little over 3 weeks since we adopted Jitterbug, and she is amazing! She has made the house her own from day one, never was she afraid, and never hid from anyone. She is very social with everyone, she goes up to anyone and wants a head scratch. Our roommates love her too. Thank you all for your help.
We adopted Benny a few short months ago. I lovingly call him "Benny Marley" because he's so chill and just loves to love and be loved. Like the Bob Marley song goes " Could you be love? Then be love." That's our Benny. My husband saw his photo on the adoption page, and I went to visit with him a few times. We instantly fell in love with this little guy who had been given up by his elderly owner.
Hello!
This is Mim Williams, writing from my new home in Pasadena. I miss my old friends, all of you who work at the Mission Viejo Animal Shelter. My new mom is really nice, and I have a big brother, Mateo. Pasadena is very hot but we got air-conditioning this weekend! So I found a basket, curled up, and stayed in it the whole morning.
(See picture attached!)
Dry kitten food is OK, but I really
I adopted Noel (now known as Edith) on July 2 from your shelter. I was expecting a standoffish cat at best, and a terror at worst (lol) but was prepared to deal with whatever came of it.  So I have had her for just over two weeks now, and I have to say...the BEST cat ever!!  She is the sweetest, friendliest thing, super playful but not destructive in the slightest.  She scratches on her
Hi, we adopted Beretta , now Butters, in April. Here's some more pictures of her recent adventures. She's the best little doggie! We love her so much. Took her on a road trip and she did great & loved it.
Hey! I can't thank you guys enough, the front desk, vet, and especially the supportive volunteers in the kitten room. I re named him Marshmallow. He loves running and jumping, and playing is his litter box. We've been spoiling him, and got him a cat tower, which he's in love with. He has accepted our dog, as our dog has slowly met him. At night after he runs around for a couple hours, he falls
We just wanted to thank you for taking such care of Penny before she became part of the family. It took her about 15 minutes to feel at home here and hasn't looked back. We love her so much and it feels like she has been a part of the family forever. Thanks again.
We adopted Lucy about two weeks ago a little sick when we first got her but since come alive. She's a wonderful dog very loving we're happy to teach her how to play she didn't know how to do much of that but she's having a blast now and we really enjoy her.
It's been about six months since we adopted Banjo and Shadow, and I thought I'd send you an update. It's hard to imagine life without them!Â
I don't want to make it sound like everything has been super easy. Banjo quickly earned the loving nickname "Butthead" with his "I-own-the-world" attitude, but he has learned a lot and we think he's the most adorable, sweet thing! The first pic I attached
We wanted you to know Fudge the rabbit is doing awesome and she is the sweetest rabbit ever! We are enjoying her very much and just wanted to say thank you!
Hi everyone, I wanted to send more pictures of Baretta, who is now named Butters. We love her so much. She's a really great dog. She's so happy & bring us gobs of joy! Thank you for letting us adopt her.
