Friends Bookstore
The Friends of the Mission Viejo Library operate the Friends Bookstore, located inside the library. The bookstore accepts your tax-deductible donations of gently used books, audiobooks, Blu-rays, DVDs, games, and puzzles. Donated items must not be damaged and be in useable condition. Donations can be dropped off during regular Bookstore hours, and proceeds from sales are donated to the library.
Bookstore Hours:
Monday - Thursday: 10 am to 6 pm
Friday: 1 to 4:30 pm
Saturday: 10 am to 4 pm
Sunday: CLOSED
Bookstore Donation Guidelines:
Donations are limited to a maximum of 6 boxes or 10 bags and are accepted during bookstore hours.
Donated items must be in good condition and not be damaged (no water damage or mold).
Bookstore donations may be added to the Library's collection, or, passed on to the Friends of the Mission Viejo Library for sale in their Bookstore.
We Accept:
- Blu-rays and DVDs
- Vinyl records
- Games and puzzles
- Audiobooks
- Hardcover books - fiction and nonfiction
- Paperback books - fiction and nonfiction
- Children's books - picture books, fiction, and nonfiction
- Textbooks less than 10 years old
- Law books less than 10 years old
We Cannot Accept:
- CDs
- VHS tapes
- Computer books
- Textbooks more than 10 years old
- Law books more than 10 years old
- Magazines
- Encyclopedias
- Damaged books
Books and materials that do not sell may be donated to local schools or they may be recycled.
