Friends Bookstore
The Friends of the Mission Viejo Library operate the Friends Bookstore, located inside the library. The bookstore accepts your tax-deductible donations of “gently used” books, DVDs, CDs, and audiobooks. Donations can be dropped off during regular Bookstore hours, and proceeds from sales are donated to the library.
Bookstore Hours:
Monday - Thursday: 10 am to 6 pm
Friday: 1 to 4:30 pm
Saturday: 10 am to 4 pm
Sunday: CLOSED
Bookstore Donation Guidelines:
Donations are limited to maximum of 10 boxes or 15 bags and are accepted during bookstore hours.
Bookstore donations may be added to the Library’s collection, or, passed on to the Friends of the Mission Viejo Library for sale in their Bookstore.
We Accept:
- Hardcover books in good condition – fiction and nonfiction
- Paperback books in good condition – fiction and nonfiction
- Textbooks
- Blu-ray discs, DVDs and audiobooks
- Children’s books in good condition – picture books , fiction and nonfiction
- Games and puzzles
We Cannot Accept:
- CDs
- VHS tapes
- Magazines
- Encyclopedias
- Damaged books
Books and materials that do not sell may be donated to local schools or they may be recycled.
