Welcome to your Summer Reading Program Headquarters! We encourage everyone to read for fun and earn incentives. The library offers self-directed reading programs designed for all ages running between June 15 - July 31.

Children's and All Ages Programs

Comic Juggler Michael Rayner: Michael Rayner's Found Object Juggling Show

Described as “preposterous brilliance” and “whacky jugglement,” a combination of hilarious juggling tricks and stunts with uproarious stand-up and a bounty of improvised fun for all ages. This hilarious show will make everyone laugh (yes, even adults!).

Dig Dug and the Dino-Mites Puppet Show

Age 3 and older

Kids will learn about dinosaurs in this funny and
interactive puppet show.

Experience the fun and astonishment reading can create when books come to life in this wacky magic show.

Minecraft Boxheads

Drop in and turn a cardboard box into your very own Minecraft character! Supplies will be provided, but may be limited.

Pinto Bella Hoops

Learn the secret of hula hooping with this fun outdoor program. Watch a lively demonstration and then try it yourself.

Strawberry DNA and Genomics

Extract DNA from a strawberry while learning about the role genetic material plays in medical care.

Mission Viejo Poetry + Art Reception

American Mah Jongg Club

Looking for a casual place to play Mah Jongg or people to play with? Bring your tiles and play with others who love the game!

Local Author Showcase and Book Fair

You are invited to attend the Mission Viejo Library’s second Local Author Showcase and Book Fair. Local authors from across Orange County will discuss their writing journey and have their latest books available for purchase.

Literary Werewolf

Seen recently in the streaming series "Only Murders In The Building", Literary Werewolf is a bookish twist on a classic party game! The librarians are on the hunt.
