Family STEAM Event for All Ages

Mission Viejo Civic Center - Council Chamber and Kershaw Garden

NASA Solar System Ambassadors will present on a variety of topics relating to the upcoming Artemis I mission - the first in a series of deep space missions that are taking us back to the Moon and beyond! The presentations (appropriate for ages 12 and up) will be offered at various times during the event, along with space-themed storytimes for children ages 2-6 years old, and all ages are invited to participate in the hands-on STEAM activities and solar viewing in the Science Heads' mobile observatory. 

Presentations will be held in the Council Chamber at City Hall.

  • NASA's Artemis I Mission - 3 and 6 pm
  • Why the Moon? - 3:45 and 6:45 pm

An ASL interpreter will be available for the 3 and 3:45 pm presentations.

Storytimes will be held in the Kershaw Garden at the Library at 2:30 and 4 pm.

Hands-on STEAM activities and the Mobile Observatory will be available in the Kershaw Garden at the Library from 2-6:30 pm. 

The Mission Viejo Library is over the moon to partner with NASA Solar System Ambassadors and local non-profit Science Heads for this event.
