Beyond Access: Inclusive programs and services at Mission Viejo Library

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) prohibits all state and local governmental agencies from discriminating against persons with disabilities and from excluding participation in or denying benefits of programs, services, or activities to persons with disabilities. The City of Mission Viejo prohibits discrimination against persons with disabilities, ensuring that such people can fully participate in and benefit from the public services offered by the City.

The Mission Viejo Library is committed to providing accessible materials, programs, and services to our patrons with disabilities.

The Mission Viejo Library strives to make any reasonable accommodation request upon visiting the library or any of our programs. To request an accommodation in advance for any of the Library's programs, services, or activities, email your request to libreference@cityofmissionviejo.org or call (949) 452-8343. Note: Requests for Sign Language interpreters depend on the availability of interpreters, and we recommend contacting us at least one week in advance.

Curbside service is available until 5 pm every day the library is open.

Large print books, audiobooks on CD, and digital books, audiobooks and magazines are available.

A screen magnifier and low-vision computer are available in the computer area of the library.

Service animals as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) are welcome in the library.
